Level It presents an exclusive woodshop safety and basics class geared towards art handlers, preparators, and specialty fabricators. In this beginner's class you’ll develop a solid foundation of shop safety and etiquette while participating in hands-on demos using the table saw, band saw, drill press, chop saw, and a variety of other hand and stationary power tools.
Participants will leave with a sense of confidence around the basic terminology, safety and operation of tools in the woodshop. Whether you’re new to the shop environment, or just looking to brush up on your knowledge, all skill levels are welcome.
Level It believes in an inclusive definition of Woman, and our participants represent a gender identity spectrum. We welcome our queer, trans, and non-binary community that we ourselves belong to, and work towards more fully representing this inclusive vision of Woman in our industry. Enrollment for this workshop is open to our women-identified community, 18 and older.
Due to demand, this workshop is being offered on two separate dates. Spaces are reserved on a first-come first-serve basis.
